As vaccinations continue, and infection rates go down, most counties in New York State are permitting the resumption of Rugby, and Empire GU are organizing regional tournaments for each conference in the league. Lansdowne Rugby Football Club will be competing in the 5 Boroughs Cup, a 10 team tournament broken into 2 groups in a group stage and playoffs to take place in the area cross 6 weeks. All of the matches will follow local COVID-19 safety protocols to guarantee safe playing, and all of our home matches will feature a check in list, hand sanitizer, and PPE. Lansdowne’s matches will all be streamed for viewers who cannot attend in person. The full schedule will be released after final details are sorted out.
